You have 30 days to return an unused item in its original packaging. Installing or replacing a ceiling fitting involves mains wiring, and we would always recommend a qualified electrician for that. Rules vary by country, so check what applies where you live.
What it is for
This is the bulb we sell most of, and the one we recommend when somebody wants to change every fitting in a flat over a weekend without thinking about it too hard.
The figure that matters is lumens, not watts. At roughly 800 lumens it puts out the same light as the 60 W incandescent it replaces, while drawing about 8.5 W. The frosted diffuser matters too: a clear bulb behind a thin shade shows the individual diodes, and a frosted one does not.
A CRI of Ra 90 means colours in the room — skin, wood, fabric — look closer to how they do in daylight than they would under a cheaper bulb. If dimming matters to you, choose the dimmable option and check that your existing switch is rated for LED.

Before you order
Which colour temperature should I choose?
Warmer tones around 2700K suit living rooms and bedrooms, where you want the light to feel soft. Cooler tones nearer 4000K suit kitchens, bathrooms and workspaces where you want to see detail clearly.
Am I charged when I place the order?
No. Checkout records your order and reserves the stock. We email you to confirm availability, the final total and delivery, and payment is completed from that email. No card is charged on this site.
How many lumens does a room need?
It depends on the room size, the ceiling height and how the space is used, so there is no single answer. Send us the dimensions and what the room is for, and we will suggest a range.
Do I need an electrician?
Changing a bulb, no. Installing or replacing a ceiling fitting involves mains wiring, and we would always recommend a qualified electrician for that. Rules vary by country, so check what applies where you live.
